The information below has been shared with SBR from The Provider Alliance. The Provider Alliance has collaborated with other Associations across Pennsylvania to highlight three critical joint advocacy priorities for 2025. Those advocacy priorities are outlined in the graphic below. There has already been a bipartisan introduction of two bills associated with this advocacy initiative:

  1. Senate Bill 617 establishes an annual market rate index for ID/A services, promoting long-term financial stability for providers.
  2. House Bill 700 establishes a restricted fund within Pennsylvania’s General Fund to reinvest savings and proceeds from the closure of state centers into Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including support for those on the emergency waiting list.
